Montevideo, Uruguay (January 13-14, 2008)

On Sunday and Monday, I stayed in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. It was fascinating to see the difference between the two days: on Sunday, the city was dead. We walked around in the middle of the streets, with almost no people or vehicles to be seen. On Monday, the city came to life. The streets filled with cars, the sidewalks filled with vendors and pedestrians.

An effective warning sign!
